    It’s hard to overstate how much there is to be done. But don’t believe self-interested arguments that action is impossible, or will be for nothing.

    Absolutely.

    I think a three degree rise - at least - is inevitable at this point. But it makes a huge difference how fast we get to three degrees, how quickly the sea levels rise, how much time we have to change our agricultural patterns and migrate away from coasts and otherwise mitigate human suffering in the process. The difference between three degrees by 2060 and three degrees by 2100 could be measured in billions of lives.
