You mean Ashli Babbitt the violent insurrectionist who was killed while attempting to attack Congress in direct violation of the oath she swore?

If they bury her in Arlington or give her any kind memorial plaque or stone that cannot stand. A lot of things I’m willing to let go of as a permanent scar on our history, but we don’t bury Nazis next to people that fought the Nazis.

Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, was shot and killed by law enforcement during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot as she attempted to climb through a barricaded door to the Speaker’s lobby near the House chamber.

In May, the government agreed to pay Babbitt’s family nearly $5 million as part of a settlement.

The lawsuit alleged that the officer, who was not in uniform, failed to deescalate the situation and did not give her any warnings or commands before opening fire.

Remember this when the conservatives scream about “rioters” and the “thin blue line”. Fucking traitors and hypocrites.

    I’m not surprised by this.

The US is in a civil war. I know it may not seem like it, because there aren’t necessarily organized armies and battle lines, but not all wars are fought that way, especially not in this day and age. But while the nature of war may have changed, some things have stayed the same.

In the first US civil war, Lee wanted to capture Washington DC, because if you control the US Federal government you control the United States of America. That’s still true. Well, guess who has control of the US Federal government. The liberals and the leftists are losing a war they didn’t even know they were fighting. My advice to liberals and my fellow leftists is: start fighting back, or get used to living under permanent Conservative rule.

I know an air force vet with expertise in Russian surveillance who has been working for US intelligence agencies after their service, going on four decades now. I see so much through this person’s perspective, not because they can tell me anything, but because I’m forced to be concerned for this friend every single day. This is absolutely a purposeful slap in the face and a declaration they want to take over the country illegally, whether we wake up and realize it or not. This regime is terrorizing its true patriots even just by constantly threatening their livelihoods.

Maybe they can give her a 21 gun salute. With live ammo. Straight into her coffin.

The guy who made the decision was fired from Space Force for doing right wing podcasts, wrote a book about Marxism in the military and asked Trump to root out “monsters” in the military who support diversity. He’s anti-vax, pro Jan 6, basically his brain is completely given over to any right wing racist concept or conspiracy theory you can think of.

my read: this is an attempt to show the public that the military is unified in support for j6. i don’t buy it. something about this feels like someone swallowed their own pride and honor and self respect to make this ‘honorable’ funeral happen. someone trying to keep the peace. military officers are not ignorant of what j6 represents, in my admittedly anecdotal experience. for another thing, observe party commisar the honorable mr lohmeir’s name on the order, as opposed to any general staff officer’s.

it’s bad, very bad. but we’re not quite ready to start putting people against the wall yet. we’re still thinking about how we’re gonna get people to think about that first.

edit: the honorable mr lohmeir is a published author. I want you to guess the nature of his book before you click this link.

Nah, this is feeding the MAGA base. They have been ginning up conspiracies about her death since it happened, pushed by fox news/Tucker Carlson. They needed to find an excuse for one of their zealots being rightfully killed that day, in order to downplay the whole insurrection.

Her mom has kept the conspiracies alive, and conniving politicians have gone along with it because the media engine gives them a boost with the fanatics

This is just the latest example. MAGA can now go “see! She didn’t deserve to be shot! even though the air force says so!”
