I love how when it’s just a nobody, this is presented as “accused gang member,” even without evidence. Meanwhile, rich folks are running around getting kid glove headlines with mountains of evidence against them.

I have felt this one personally. My account was fraudulently charged for several thousand dollars in two transactions a couple months ago. The bank ruled in the “merchants” favor, and said the charges were legit. When asked for recourse, the bank provided me with the number and website for the merchant, both of which were inactive. I filed a complaint with the CFPB after the bank removed my money. Within two weeks, all they told me was that the ruling stands, case closed.

Sure, go ahead and let them know. I believe in you.

One doesn’t have to be a big deal to stand up for what they believe in.
