I prefer „corporate social media“ or „legacy social media“ as a differentiator from the Fediverse. If anything in the Fediverse ever becomes truly mainstream, that’s completely fine
Sieht bei mir exakt genau so aus und ich habe nie ein Buch bei Amazon bestellt (und wenn doch, dann vor vielen Jahren). Würde davon ausgehen dass das die unpersonalisierten Ergebnisse sind.
Nothing to see here, just a billion euro tax fraud scheme - just some usual German pastime activities
Definitely not good. Sometimes they can solve issues but you gotta point them in the direction of the issue. Other times they write hacky workarounds that do the job for the moment but crash catastrophically with the next major dependency update.
I also cancelled Prime a while ago. They kept increasing the price and yet Prime Video at the time at least was a shit show and didn’t justify paying more for Prime. Haven’t really missed it since there are lots of great specialized shops anf eBay for anything more generic.
Poor education, social media and targeted Russian misinformation campaigns. The perfect mix
AI news make the stock price go up
Not to mention that constantly having to turn off crap is still awful UX
Yeah right? I tried it yesterday to build a simple form for me. Told it to look at the structure of other forms for reference which it did and somehow it used NONE of the UI components and helpers from the other forms. It was bafflingly bad
Yeah our city has introduced 30 km / h zones and everyone treats them like 50 km / k zones and goes 55 - 60 km / h. If you actually stick to the speed limit it’s common for people not to keep their distance and even honk at you. During the weekend people sometimes drive 80 - 90 km / h in these areas.
It really sucks that nobody cares about enforcing the speed limit. They should just put some speed bumps there so that people cannot go that fast in these areas first place.
Seeing how things are going, it seems people haven’t paid attention for the last century.
I agree and it’s probably not for moving troops but generals and higher ups in the military to make planning and negotiations easier.
Can we maybe just start being more efficient by adopting digital technologies? That would already help our economy a lot. Next let’s improve our infrastructure and public transport.
Germany really is quite an inefficient country but not because we’re not working enough.
When I moved I had to pay the deposit and the first rent in cash and the contract was filled out using a type writer and the building administrator complained she could not print my emails because they were encrypted somehow. That’s the German experience in a nutshell.
With Instagram once again trying to force its users to agree to some more privacy violating settings, I think it’s time for the EU to tax and fine the shit out of predatory US tech companies.
Make them pay up or withdraw from the EU. It would be a win either way.
And to compete our domestic car industries will probably start making similar models :/
