My recent experience with my phone is I tell it to set a 5 minute timer and it sets one in the fucking Google search browser, and if I page away I lose the timer.

As long they can send people to torture prisons without due process or evidence, we do NOT have a First Amendment.

But non-tech people aren’t buying Faiphones, but whatever they’re pushing at the Verizon store.

Buying studios wasn’t stupid.

Doing it and putting all their products on a subscription service is.

They know they’ve destroyed the planet, so why bother planning for a future they’ve already prevented.

Everyone talking about how it’s because of Windows 11 or their greed driving people away, etc. But they’re ignoring the big one:

People don’t need as many computers these days. You don’t have a lot of households with a laptop for every member of the family because smartphones and tablets have replaced the PC for many people for media consumption and basic tasks.
