A scapegoat is someone used to blame as an alternative to yourself. Religion isn’t really a “person”, but it’s often used as a way to shift blame away with a “God told me to do it” and God is considered a person driving most religions.

As someone from San Antonio, hearing that over 30 children 7 and up got washed away and likely died in a flash flood is heartbreaking.

There are lots of people who are liberal as fuck who live in Texas. We have to deal with gerrymandered districts and a shit ton of rural people who have more voting powers than us.

While that may be “an option”, 5G sucks compared to coax service.

Both are inferior to fiber by a long shot, but wired will always be better than cellular, which is limited spectrum and inconsistent.

Any social media that isn’t open and self hostable (Lemmy, Mastodon, etc) should not be used. That includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, and more.

Most social media has, IMHO, been a net-negative for society and I am in the generation that grew up with it in its infancy.
