Thank you. I’ve not tried EndeavorOS, so I’ll check it out! Most of what I’ve been running have been flavors of Ubuntu with a brief Gentoo and OpenSUSE period.

My MacBook is getting very long in the tooth and the updates via OCLP are working in creating a system that is painfully slow to use. I’ve been tinkering with various Linux distros for 20 years and the thought of having one as my only daily driver does not sound appealing. I really don’t want to drop the money on a new laptop but I need something to work without constantly troubleshooting.
Just bought a Reolink rln46 NVR and four cameras. I don’t have the doorbell, but every other feature you requested works flawlessly. It records 24/7 in 4K but can stream at lower resolutions if you want when you’re away from home on mobile. You can set what notifications you receive and when you want to receive them. You can even go back and search for events by type in the recorded video when they were never flagged for notification in the first place. I’ve been thoroughly impressed and plan to add to the system in the coming months.
If only weighs 2800lbs and most of the mechanical problems were sorted out quickly in production. The financial crash, high interest rates, negative publicity from the drug trial, and the election of Margaret Thatcher as British PM killed the company. It was a “death by 1000 cuts” situation.
It becomes operational August 4 and self-aware on the 29th.
Scrolled until I saw an Apollo post. I miss the old days on Reddit. As much as I want it to be the same here, it simply isn’t.
Slippery slope.
